The Super Compressor, reborn
The modern successor to the Seventies Super Compressor — dual crowns, an inner rotating bezel and unmistakable Broad Arrow hands.
History
Archimèdes by Milus is the modern successor to the Super Compressor of the Seventies, with its dramatic proportions — as well as the 666, the original model created a decade earlier.
In the mid-to-late 1950s, Swiss case manufacturer Ervin Piquerez S.A. (EPSA) patented and began producing its greatest catalogue component: the Super Compressor case. Its ingenious design makes the case more watertight as the watch descends — as atmospheric pressure rises, the case back compresses the gaskets for a tighter seal. A major selling point in the 1970s, Super Compressor watches remain among the most coveted dive watches today.

Below the surface
Design
Outlining new territory in vintage style, the Archimèdes by Milus is designed for modern explorers — a mix of finishes alternating brushed surfaces and polished accents, topped by a highly domed sapphire crystal that reinforces the vintage appeal.
Development focused on a 41 mm brushed case with a discreet helium escape valve at 9 o'clock. Three hour digits at the cardinal points, a 3 o'clock date window and the famous Broad Arrow hands coated in Super-LumiNova combine to bolster readability.

Engineering
The signature dual-crown design carries a bi-directional inner rotating bezel with a 60-minute diving scale, every marking executed in natural Super-LumiNova® for accurate timekeeping in all conditions.
Engineered for an audacious lifestyle, the Archimèdes is powered by the reliable top-grade ETA 2892-A2 movement, protected in a 316L steel case water resistant to 30 ATM (300 metres).

Recognition
The Archimèdes by Milus — Orange Coral was officially nominated for the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève 2021 in the Diver's category.
Created in 2001, the GPHG is the foremost competition in international watchmaking — often called the industry's 'Oscars' — rewarding the most remarkable contemporary creations each year.
